Some days I just really miss my folks. It's hard to be so far away from them when up until four months ago I'd never lived more than an hour away. Luckily, my folks love to travel when they can and decided to celebrate my mom's birthday here in DC! It was great having my folks around and incredibly hard to say goodbye. I was bawling during the car ride home. Technology is great at keeping people connected but it's nothing like the real deal of getting to hug your folks!
Can't wait to see them again!

Family is precious, and technology can only go so far. But yay for living in a time when we HAVE that technoology!
