We officially have a place in DC! I'm so excited. We'll be living in the Capitol Hill area right near a metro stop, groceries, bars, and restaurants. YES! So happy.
I've been packing like a crazy person over the past few weeks, trying to decide what comes to DC, what stays at my parents' house, and what should be sold/donated. Luckily, I'm selling some furniture, old textbooks, and gently worn/never worn at all clothes. Any little bit helps. I see looming costs of COBRA health insurance, new furniture (Dave doesn't have much in DC - just an air bed and plastic closet that you buy in a box and build), and everything else that comes with being a grown up. Hopefully I get a job sooner than later. There are actually some new grad positions out there!
I've got most everything packed. Just have to clear out the rest of the stuff in my closet, the pantry, my bathroom closet, and under the bathroom sink. I'm pretty sure all of that stuff will just be going to my parents'. Anz is adjusting to all the packing. He didn't seem too happy when I disassembled the bed frame and armoire, but I think he'll get over it.
Anz is being such a good sport!
