anzuelito.

He still thinks he's a lap dog.
Two years ago our little pup was born (exact date isn't really known... his health documents from Panama all have a different date!). Dave adopted our little baby from a family in Ojo de Agua, Panama when he was around three weeks old.

His life story is pretty crazy and I wish he could talk and say what he thinks about it. From having his life saved by a little boy who said Anz would die because he had a white tongue (and subsequently being the only pup in his little to survive the parasite that led to the white tongue), to being stuck in a crate for over a day on the way to America (with some free time at the airport pet area in Texas), to learning how to walk on a leash (and everything else that comes with being an American dog), he's had a lot happen for being two. And this next winter we'll add "running in the snow" to the list for this pup born in a place where the coldest temp is in the 70s and it's always humid.

Having him has been a learning experience - especially because I'm going at it solo since Dave was in SD and now in DC. The transition has been a bit tough for him as he's so used to being able to run around doing whatever he wants, but it's getting better. No matter how crazy he drives me or how much training we still have to do with him, I'm so happy that he's in our lives. I could not imagine not having his insane, cuddly self around. Just look at that face!
