| At The Boiling Crab Sacramento with some classmates |
September, though just a little more than half way through, has been jam-packed with different activities.
The month began with school. Each day of that first week found me at campus, 9-4. Though class isn't always the most entertaining thing, being with my classmates is always fun. I'm currently taking Critical Care and Pediatrics - both ending the first week of November. Luckily, the "class every day" aspect was only for the first week. Now we have class on Wednesdays and thats it. I'm also taking the corresponding clinicals for those courses - Pediatrics this month and Critical Care in October. Those are on Sundays and Mondays. Though my schedule may seem light because of the few days (Wednesdays, Sundays, and Mondays), it's actually keeping me pretty busy. We have lots of reading to do and outpatient pediatric experiences to attend.
I'm absolutely loving this semester for the sheer fact that I'm in the pediatric unit. I cannot wait to work with kids post graduation!
One of the perks of being in school is having my wonderful classmates to keep me going. One thing we were looking forward to - the opening of The Boiling Crab in Sacramento. Until the Sacramento location opened, we had to drive to San Jose to eat some deliciously spicy shrimp, crabs, and oysters. One aspect of the place that people love is the fact that you can write on the walls - so we did! Below is a picture of what we did.

We also went to a sushi restaurant in Sacramento for a classmate's birthday. A few classmates and some of her other friends attended the dinner. Tons of sushi and some beer equals very happy kids.

We've also had an addition to the family. His name is Buster (named after the adorable Giant's catcher, Buster Posey) and he's absolutely adorable. He had a rocky start, growling and barking a lot. He has since transformed into a lovable pup. He's just over a year old. Mom got him from a friend of a friend.

Last Friday, I went to the Giants game with my cousin and her son. He, like me, is a big Buster Posey fan. That evening, they were giving away Posey t-shirts so we decided to attend. The Giants ended up losing that night, but it's ok. Not the end of the world. I drove us to the game, so afterwards, I was able to spend some time with my little Maya.

Another pretty sweet thing that recently occurred - I sent my old BlackBerry to Dave. He now has access to internet for $12 anywhere MasMovil has service. So exciting! It is already saving us money on phone calls because we can now BBM each other when we think of something quick to say. Gotta love it!
92 days until I'm with Dave in San Diego for the holidays!!
