resolutions.

In honor of the new year, I've decided upon several resolutions and mottos to live by. Honestly, we've all tried resolutions and failed miserably. As an attempt to succeed I've created an artful tactic. I purchased a photo frame, glued trim to it and spray painted it gold. For the next step, I printed my resolutions and mottos for 2010 on transfer paper and put them on fabric... which I then framed in my new gold frame. The point of this? Hopefully seeing them every day will help me to achieve them and live what I believe to be a happier year.

I've got quite a few items on my list, but I think they'll all help me arrive at 2011 in one piece.

Here's what I've got on this list:

-Remember that love is as simple as it should be.
-Allow for second impressions instead of snap judgments.
-Accept and be thankful for what the Lord has given.
-Make more time for family.
-Learn Spanish.
-Ask. Believe. Receive.
-Clear life of physical and emotional clutter.
-Always move forward.
-Keep mental and physical health a priority.
-Focus on the goal.
-Accept negative aspect for what they are then release.
-Visualize.
-Remember who is important and let them know.
-Make new friends and keep the old.
-Travel as much as possible.
-Learn to cook more Filipino food.
-Become more conscious of the spending and saving of money.
-Remain mindful of lessons learned.
-Take time to breath when life gets tough.
-Know the present is just as important as the future.
-Protect loved ones.
-Remember why being a nurse is important.
-Follow gut instincts.
-Enjoy the little things.

And finally, the finished product!

Good luck to you if you are also attempting resolutions for the new year!!

P.S. Nursing school starts tomorrow!!!!!
