flight change!!

My mandatory orientation for SMU is on November 19th at 8:30am. My original flight was set to get back to San Francisco on November 18th at 10pm - cutting it a little close for my comfort. I will now be there from October 22-November 16. I'm so excited to be leaving soon. My trip is ONE MONTH away!!! The itinerary is pretty much the same with the changes being made just to my time in Loma Bonita. All of our trips will remain the same.

Thursday, October 22:

-Bus to Dave's place in Loma Bonita, Coclé

-Dave will be doing a presentation to the locals about why they shouldn't eat conejo pintados.

Saturday, October 31:
-HALLOWEEN!!
-Take a water taxi to Isla Colon, Bocas del Toro
-Stay at Mondo Taitu

-Bus back to David
-Stay at The Purple House again

-Bus back to Loma Bonita

-Separation Day

On November 3, 1903 Panama formally separated from Colombia and established the Republic of Panama. Since declaring independence from Spain in 1821, Panama was part of the Republic of Gran Colombia. However, Panama tried to claim its independence several times during this period. Finally, with the assistance of the United States, the country became an independent nation in 1903. Panamanians celebrate this day with parades.

-Bus back to Panamá via San Jose, CR @ 4:30pm and then 11:00pm

Thursday, November 12:
-Arrive in Panamá @ 3:00pm... we're hoping the driver will drop us off in Penonomé since it's on the way
